Next year May 1st, 2025, my husband and I will be happily married for 10 years and we are celebrating our anniversary in Jamaica, September 2025. I met my husband through a mutual friend, our original godmother Marie Agbata. My husband called me immediately after Marie gave him my phone number. We talked on the phone for weeks before having our first date. Fast forward, 8 months later in our relationship, my husband proposed to me and we planned an engagement party. That engagement party turned into a wedding just a month to the date that was set for our engagement party. It wasn’t my dream wedding. We just decided to get married at that time because the odds were too much against us, hence the wedding was planned in a month and we got married on May 1st, 2015. We have been inseparable ever since! Wherever you see me, you will see my husband. I am a proud wife of an imperfect husband. He is the only one in this world who can tolerate my madness. We have been through many, many storms and have lived in the lows and highs, and our love has stood the test of time which has kept us stronger. We can’t wait to celebrate our anniversary with you all by God’s grace. My dream wedding of it will be!

Our first date was on the “All white cruise” hosted by our friends on August 30th, 2014. That night was magical, we had instant connection. We danced as if it was our last, not knowing that our date will end into a marriage. Here we are today, 10 years later, still in love with each other, still going strong. My most memorable moment of our relationship is our second date. My husband took me to PF Chang restaurant with his 3 boys. What was memorable about this date was the respect, and humility that he showed me. This man was catering to me so much that I felt it wasn’t real but he remains the same respectful and humble man I know up till today. I feel blessed to have him in my life.
